Treasure Trove Of Life

Treasure Trove Of Life

The ultimate pursuit of life is to find real happiness. But the million dollar question is does anyone know what is real happiness? Forget about happiness now a days people are perpetually engaged in a rat race and busy competing with each other to stand out as the best. What are they ultimately gaining out of it this intense mental and physical rigor? These new idiosyncrasies have resulted in the genesis of so called "life -style diseases". Thus, adding one more chapter to the already existing list of diseases.

Most people dedicate their lives to minting money or busy accumulating goods. They simply squander valuable time and energy in materialistic pursuits. If money is the sure way to get the real happiness then all the wealthy and rich people are supposed to be the happiest people in the world.

If money can give all the happiness then rich would be dancing on roads but only poor kids do that. If power ensures security, then officials should walk unguarded. But those who live simply walk around freely. If beauty and fame can bring ideal relationships then celebrities should have the best marriages and families. But that is not the order of the world in reality. Simplicity leads the world.

Happiness is the absolute satisfaction which comes naturally from within when we experience unlimited pleasure or joy. Real happiness is more often derived from small pleasures as opposed to wealth, riches, glory, fame or success. May it is time to visit our true self and find out what gives us really happiness. Instead of chasing life, search for those small happiness in life as they are the real treasures in life.

In most cases money or the material things can never give the feeling of entirety in life. Satisfaction which we derive in doing small acts, often acts of compassion, love, forbearances, and kindness refines live and brings profound happiness in life. It is important to realize that happiness begets happiness. Once we get into the habit of doing such things which give us real happiness, life would be complete. That is the ultimate and real purpose of living.

If life is all about accomplishments, then machines and robots are better than us. They can work more efficiently and effectively and there is no dearth of technology to have more automation around us. Life is not defined by our achievements alone. The records which we have to our credit are bound to be broken by some one more intelligent, efficient and hardworking than us. Due to this ever increasing pressure to perform better we live under constant stress and forget living our own lives the way we want.

Hence it is highly consequential to have control over the time we have. Find time to discover small pleasures which mean a lot and live life to fullest. Being little humane and loving can change our life altogether. Let the new flushes of happiness sweep the mind forever.

Hi Akka,

You musings are simply fantanstic. It amazes me every time i read them for the kind of deep thinking process and maturity levels you possess. Please accept my heartfelt appreciation for the incredible writings which make people to really think.

Especially this musing is an eye-opener for all those who really run after the materialistic pleasures, disregarding the values in life.

My request of you is that if you can give us in telugu, will try to pass it on to my near and dear for their well being.

Thanks,
Midhun
